Featurette Explores the Insane Practical Effects in ‘The Void’

There’s a reason so many are comparing it to The Thing.

Now out in limited theaters and also available for VOD rental, Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kostanski’s The Void has been garnering rave reviews from horror fans, particularly those who are head over heels in love with batshit insane practical effects. The film is loaded with the craziest monsters this side of Thirteen Ghosts – needless to say, check this one out ASAP.

In The Void

Officer Daniel Carter happens upon a blood-soaked figure limping down a deserted stretch of road while he’s in the middle of a routine patrol. He rushes the young man to a nearby rural hospital staffed by a skeleton crew, only to discover that patients and personnel are transforming into something inhuman. As the horror intensifies, Carter leads the other survivors on a hellish voyage into the subterranean depths of the hospital in a desperate bid to end the nightmare before it’s too late.

Written and directed by Gillespie and Kostanski of Astron-6, the film stars Aaron Poole, Ellen Wong, Kathleen Munroe, Stephanie Belding, and Kenneth Welsh.
