A non-profit fan project created by Scified.com, animator Jason Cardona (Footprints Workshop) and the community of fansite Alien-Covenant.com, the just launched Alien: Covenant: The Unofficial Animated Series aims to explore some of the most popular and interesting Alien universe fan theories. Their idea is to, through animation, “bring fan theories to life.”
The first episode of the animated series, titled “LV-223,” just hit this week, and it explores what potentially happened to proto-Xenomorph “Deacon” after the events of Prometheus:
With David and Shaw having just left in search of the Engineer homeworld, the fate of the Deacon is left unknown. This episode explores, emulates and compiles many of the fan theories involving the Deacon’s fate while stranded on the desolate moon LV-223.
