We are so bummed right now that we can’t eat these.
In preparation for the release of Alien: Covenant next week, baker/photographer Christine H. McConnell partnered up with 20th Century Fox to whip together some devilishly delicious treats inspired by the franchise’s iconic imagery. They were taken to a global press junket in London last week, where they were consumed by those brave enough to bite into a Face Hugger.
The treats included a strawberry cream cake that looked like a screen-accurate replica of a Xenomorph egg (with Face Hugger crawling out!), “spore pod” cookies covered in fresh preserves, football-sized chocolate eggs filled with salted caramels, and individually sculpted, chocolate-coated peanut butter pops made in the likeness of adorable baby Chest-Bursters.
