Here’s Early Sales Art for Kevin Smith’s ‘Moose Jaws’!

It’s Jaws… with a moose.

Yes, Kevin Smith is still planning on making Jaws spoof Moose Jaws, a film he began to tease a couple years back. It’ll be the third film in his “True North Trilogy,” which began with Tusk and continued with Yoga Hosers. According to things Smith has said in the past, the walrus/human hybrid from Tusk will appear in the film, as will the two main characters from Yoga Hosers. In addition, Jay and Silent Bob will pop up… and Bob will be killed by the giant monster moose.

Crazy Kevin Smith is the best Kevin Smith, am I right?

In a Facebook Live video last night, Smith revealed that Moose Jaws is still in the works and that he’s currently seeking the funding necessary to make it happen. For that purpose, Smith had some early sales art whipped up for Moose Jaws, which he showed off during the live-stream.

If you missed it last night, check it out below!

Moose Jaws is like, it’s my favorite thing I’ve ever written,” Smith said at Sundance. “This is a fuckin’ fan film. This is like pouring my heart out on a page. I love Jaws, and I love Canada, and I combined the two of them. So the whole thing is beat-for-beat Jaws, up until the third act. In the third act it becomes Godzilla, Destroy All Monsters, Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan, and ends with Return of the Jedi. It’s pretty magical.”

Justin [Long] returns as Tusk,” he added, “and he fights Moose Jaws.”
