What’s really going on underneath that “uber” mask?
In the outer space-set Jason X, we never really got a good look at the big guy’s face. While other films in the franchise showed off the gnarly makeup in all its glory (The New Blood‘s reveal was particularly awesome), the token unmasking scene in Jason X left a whole lot to the imagination.
Jason was ever-so-briefly unmasked by Adrienne, but his face was covered in goo and obscured by darkness to the point that it was hard to get a good feel for what he actually looked like under there…
But wonder no more, Friday fans!
Brought to our attention by the excellent website Friday the 13th: The Franchise, effects artist Damon Bishop just recently showed off some incredible behind the scenes shots over on Instagram that give us the best look at Jason X‘s unmasked Jason that we have EVER seen.
“Jason sculpted by Stephen Dupuis,” Damon captioned the photos. “Painting and finishing work by me.”
