Dimension Films’ Amityville: The Awakening, the official Amityville Horror sequel that was supposed to haunt theaters on June 30, 2017, has been delayed yet again. We told you a shift was imminent, unfortunately, this time there’s no updated release date. The film has been retitled, retooled and recut multiple times since its initial delay in September of 2014.
Here’s some new footage we shared earlier this week as an international release appears to still be in the cards.
In Amityville: The Awakening, “Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.”
