Who brought the iconic Chucky doll to life? That’d be makeup effects legend Kevin Yagher, who is credited as both designer and executor of Chucky for the original Child’s Play.
Yagher subsequently worked on Child’s Play 2, Child’s Play 3 and Bride of Chucky, and he’s also known for redesigning Freddy Krueger for A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. He even directed Hellraiser: Bloodline, easily the most underrated installment in the franchise.
Recently, Yagher has been very active on both Facebook and Instagram, sharing photos and memories from his incredible career. He’s also got his own website that’s loaded with awesome, including an online shop where you can buy screen-used props that he made over the years!
A handful of props from the Child’s Play franchise are up for grabs, including a metal Chucky “skull” from the opening of Child’s Play 2, the melted Chucky prop from the finale of Child’s Play 2, and even the “baby Chucky” from Bride of Chucky.
If you’ve got money to spend, Yagher’s online shop is a treasure trove for the Chucky fan.
