Pumpkin coffee is back. And so is Dancing Pumpkin Man.
Back in 2006, comedian Matt Geiler killed time on an Omaha, Nebraska news station by putting a pumpkin mask on his face and dancing in front of a green screen on Halloween night. Little did Geiler realize that the video would soon go viral; nor could he have ever predicted that he’d forever become known as “Dancing Pumpkin Man.”
Thankfully for the rest of us, Geiler decided to embrace his newfound fame as a seasonal internet meme, popping up to make us all smile a bit whenever Halloween is near. And, well, even when it’s not; Geiler (as Dancing Pumpkin Man) auditioned for “America’s Got Talent” earlier this year!
Oh and there’s also a Dancing Pumpkin Man Twitter account.
So what’s Dancing Pumpkin Man up to these days? Well, he’s just partnered with Dunkin Donuts to help them announce the forthcoming roll-out of their Fall goodies, including pumpkin donuts, pumpkin muffins and of course, pumpkin coffee. It’s truly a wonderful time of the year.
“Dancing Pumpkin Man, by definition, has to be excited about the arrival of fall and pumpkin-flavored anything,” explains Geiler. “Plus, I’m a huge Dunkin’ Donuts fan in real life, so I’m thrilled to help celebrate the return of all things pumpkin at Dunkin’.”
