How? With a coffee container, of course!
If you’re looking to dress up as Ash Williams for Halloween or any other event, you’re probably thinking that it’s going to cost you a pretty penny to complete the look with one of his groovy chainsaw hands. Furthermore, you’re probably thinking it’ll require build skills you may not have.
Well, you’d be wrong on both counts.
Artist Lee Howard just made his own Evil Dead 2 chainsaw hand for less than $20, and it only took him one evening and mostly found supplies to do it!
“Started with a crappy flat chainsaw toy for $15,” Howard explained on Facebook. “Added a coffee jug, taped a dollar store container (cut in half) to it, added the handle, glued foam to it all, primed it, added a layer of wood glue, then glued on bottle caps and the lid of an air freshener and then painted it up!”
He added, “It’s not screen accurate AT ALL, and isn’t super great, but it’s what I like to call ‘good enough.’”
