We’ve thus far seen several images of the new Jaegers from Steven S. DeKnight’s Pacific Rim Uprising, but what about the Kaiju? We’ve your first look today!

As John Boyega teased earlier today, “the monsters you saw in the first movie were the test run, to see how the planet would hold up,” promising that the new monsters are going to be more intelligent and terrifying than the ones we met back in 2013.

An upcoming Bandai Japan collectible up for pre-order from Big Bad Toy Store now gives us a preview of Raijin, named after the god of lightning, thunder and storms in the Shinto religion and in Japanese mythology.

Raijin looks a bit like the Demogorgon from “Stranger Things,” with his head opened up to reveal some true nightmare fuel underneath the surface.
