[TGS 2018] New ‘Devil May Cry 5’ Trailer and Screenshots Reveal Return of Trish and Lady

Capcom threw out a whole bunch of new things for Devil May Cry 5 at the Tokyo Games Show 2018 including a Deluxe Edition of the game, an action-packed new trailer, and a bevy of screenshots. Yet the most intriguing new tidbit to be gleaned from this information extravaganza was the return of series’ sidekicks Trish and Lady. Oh and the reveal of the third male protagonist.

First up, the trailer. In it, we get our first glimpse at the aforementioned characters in action alongside Old Man Dante and the cocksure Nero. There’s the typical amount of madcap violence with a hearty splash of swagger (and that’s always a welcome sight in Devil May Cry). The last seconds of the trailer gives us the first look at a third protagonist called V.

If you want to see Trish and Lady in screenshot form, well we’ve got that for you too. Lady looks much the same as before, but Trish has joined the boys in a having a bit of a redesign.

Like so many big games these days, there’s going to be a Deluxe Edition of Devil May Cry 5 and it includes alternate costumes for the main characters and an assortment of arm attachments for Nero, best of which is Mega Man‘s Mega Buster.

Interestingly, the PlayStation Store listing for the game notes 2-3 player online play. That’s a potentially exciting development. Showing off is big in Devil May Cry games, so the opportunity to try and outperform your friends in combat is a good hook.

Devil May Cry 5 is set for release March 8, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
