Capcom has today revealed Monster Hunter World Iceborne, a massive new expansion to the base Monster Hunter World game and also announced a collaboration with CD Projekt Red for The Witcher 3.
The Iceborne expansion features new quest ranks, locales, monsters, moves, and equipment, and is the size of expansions to previous Monster Hunter title Generations. It’s set for an Autumn 2019 release.
The Witcher 3 collaboration comes along earlier, somewhere at the front end of next year and will allow players to become Geralt of Rivia and slay a whole new set of monsters. It’s the second mashup Geralt has been involved in after he appeared in SoulCalibur VI recently.
You can view the trailer for that below.
Both will appear on PS4 and Xbox One, with PC joining in the expansion fun a bit further down the line.
It’s great to see Capcom supporting Monster Hunter World far beyond its first year. It’ll be exciting to discover a new area and the beast held within.
