We’re just around a month away from the Resident Evil 2 remake releasing, which is exciting pretty damn exciting, but it seems fans are going to get a taste a bit earlier than that with a Resident Evil 2 demo!

True Achievements has discovered a product description on Microsoft’s game store for a Resident Evil 21-Shot Demo‘ that will arrive January 11, 2019. The description explains that the demo will give you 30 minutes to complete it.

The full description is as follows,

This specially tuned demo allows you to experience the newly reimagined Resident Evil 2, but be warned: whilst you can continue as many times as you like after dying, you’ll only have 30 MINUTES to complete the demo. Take in the horror atmosphere at your own pace, or make a desperate dash to solve all the puzzles Raccoon Police Department has to offer? The choice is yours! Originally released in 1998, Resident Evil 2, one of the most iconic games of all time, returns completely reimagined for next-gen consoles. – Play individual campaigns for both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield using an all new 3rd person view – Explore the zombie infested areas of Raccoon City, now stunningly re-built using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine. – New puzzles, storylines and areas Note: This demo is available until 1/31/2019. You must be signed in and have an active internet connection to play.

So the chance to get to grips with a Resident Evil 2 demo two weeks before the game’s full launch? That’s a great start to the year! Recently, a lot of fresh information on the remake appeared in the foreign press. It only serves to make the anticipation ramp up further for me.

Resident Evil 2 is out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on January 25, 2019.

All of us here at Bloody Disgusting are deeply sad to learn that actress Daveigh Chase has passed away at just 35 years old. The news was first reported by TMZ this afternoon.

The outlet reports, “The actress’ boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, tells TMZ … Daveigh died Tuesday from meningitis and an infection in her blood, which caused her to have septic issues and led to her body shutting down.” The website’s report continues, “We’re told Daveigh had been admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles earlier this month because of malnutrition.”

Here in the horror world, a young Daveigh Chase memorably played Samara in Gore Verbinski’s 2002 horror movie The Ring, the American remake of the Japanese horror hit.

Far outside the horror world, Daveigh Chase voiced Lilo in the 2002 animated movie Lilo & Stitch, a character she continued to voice in various animated spinoff projects.

Chase also appeared as Samantha Darko in the 2001 classic Donnie Darko, later returning to play the sister of Donnie Darko in the 2009 spinoff movie titled S. Darko.

Daveigh Chase’s resume also includes roles on the TV shows “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” “Charmed,” “ER,” “Touched by an Angel,” “CSI,” “Cold Case,” and 32 episodes of “Big Love.”

Chase appeared in the films The Rats, Silence, Carolina, Beethoven’s 5th, Yellow, Little Red Wagon, Transference, Killer Crush, Jack Goes Home, and American Romance.

We send our deepest condolences to Daveigh Chase’s family, friends, and fans.
