More Entries in Amanda Ripley’s Story Will Soon Be Announced…
It’s clear that 20th Century Fox is going all-in on continuing the story of Alien: Isolation character Amanda Ripley, the daughter of film franchise heroine Ellen Ripley. As we’ve recently learned, Amanda’s saga will continue in both the comic book series Aliens: Resistance and the mobile game Alien: Blackout, but there’s more we haven’t yet been told.
Fox has recently been teasing the expansion of the Amanda Ripley Universe with a “Read. Play. Watch.” tagline, and so far we’ve only been made privy to the “Read” (comic book series) and “Play” (mobile game) aspects of that tagline. What about the “Watch” component, you ask?
Check out this tidbit from a press release we received this afternoon…
“This year, fans of the critically-acclaimed Alien: Isolation video game are invited to embark on new adventures with Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda, by watching, playing, and reading her story as she renews her fight against the aliens after the events of Isolation. 20th Century Fox will partner with a wide range of storytellers and innovators to bring this epic chapter in the Alien Universe to life, with even more entries in Amanda Ripley’s story soon to be announced.”
The official Twitter account for the Alien franchise also promises, “Dear Alien fans, there is still more to come… very soon. #ReadPlayWATCH #AmandaRipley.”
We’re thinking a TV series or a web series are the most likely options here. Stay tuned.

‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ and ‘Godzilla x Kong’ Actress Kaylee Hottle Has Passed Away at 18 Years Old
All of us here at Bloody Disgusting are deeply sad to learn that Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong actress Kaylee Hottle has passed away after a tragic car accident in Maryland.
The young actress was just 18 years old.
Deaf actress Kaylee Hottle played Jia in Legendary’s MonsterVerse, a character introduced in Godzilla vs. Kong. She later reprised the role in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
Just last year, Kaylee Hottle was nominated for a Saturn Award for her performance in Godzilla x Kong. She competed in the “
TMZ notes, “Kaylee – an Atlanta native – comes from a multi-generational deaf family. She got her start in commercials, notably a PSA for the live video messaging app Glide, which is used by many members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, when she was 9 years old.”
Hottle had also appeared in an episode of the “Magnum P.I” reboot series in 2021.
