Drag Me to Hell star Lorna Raver has passed away at the age of 81.
The actress died on May 12, but the news was only recently made public in the Summer 2025 issue of SAG-AFTRA Magazine.
Best known for playing antagonist Sylvia Ganush in Sam Raimi’s 2009 horror film, Raver’s other genre credits include Freeway, The Caller, and “Charmed.”
She also narrated the 2016 audiobook edition of Stephen King’s Cujo.
Born in Pennsylvania, Raver started her acting career in the theater before making her onscreen debut as the secretary of Dana Carvey’s character in 1990’s Opportunity Knocks.
She went on to appear in “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Bones,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Desperate Housewives,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “One Tree Hill,” “ER,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” and more.
