Rocky Horror Picture Show fans are in for a treat next month, as Linus O’Brien (son of Richard O’Brien, actor behind Riff Raff and creator of both the film and the original musical) is finally releasing his critically-acclaimed documentary about the history and legacy of the legendary production.
Featuring never-before-seen archival footage and in-depth interviews with major players like Susan Sarandon (Janet Weiss) and Tim Curry (Dr. Frank-N-Furter) alongside hardcore fans like Jack Black and Trixie Mattel, Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror will be available for rental and digital purchase on Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home starting June 2.

While Richard O’Brien’s classic technically debuted in 1975, the documentary’s release is actually meant to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original film’s New York City Midnight-Movie relaunch that transformed a seemingly doomed flick into a cult phenomenon that still plays in select theaters to this very day.
That’s why Strange Journey might just be the perfect way to celebrate the time warp – again!
