Tombstone Is Selling Candy Corn Pizza for Halloween

Tombstone's candy corn pizza

There are a lot of divisive opinions surrounding Halloween, such as whether It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown or Garfield’s Halloween Adventure is the superior special, at what age should we stop trick or treating, and if the different designs on Pillsbury sugar cookies really taste any different. One significant point of debate is around candy corn, namely, whether the confections are delicious or disgusting. We might never know what the real answer is, regardless of how strongly someone argues either side, but Tombstone is throwing a new complication into the mix.

For some reason, the frozen pizza brand has announced that this year they will be selling candy corn pizza. Tombstone announced, “Conjured in the spookiest corners of the internet, this Halloween season Tombstone proudly presents The Pizza Nobody Asked For. And frankly, we regret absolutely nothing. Introducing the limited-edition Tombstone Candy Corn Pizza, an unexpected flavor mashup from The Official Pizza of Halloween. Candy corn. On pizza. Hear us out… it’s weirdly good.”

“This sweet-and-savory creation combines the zesty flavor of Tombstone Pepperoni Pizza with one of Halloween’s most iconic (and debated) treats. Add a few pieces of candy corn or cover the whole pie. Your call… we’re not here to judge. Love it or hate it, this unexpected Halloween mashup might just make you reconsider… What Do You Want on Your Tombstone?. Trick? Treat? Terrible idea? You decide.”

Given how frequently Tombstone has celebrated Halloween in previous years with seasonal-specific branding, it’s hard to argue that they really are a frozen pizza intrinsically linked to October 31. And we can only assume at least one person had to taste a candy corn pizza, so it can’t be all that terrible, can it?

For $1.31, the Tombstone Candy Corn Pizza includes:

  • One Tombstone Pepperoni Pizza or Tombstone 5 Cheese Pizza
  • Candy corn, enough for topping your pizza however you wish
  • Preparation instructions for creating your own (ahem) masterpiece

You might be thinking, “This just sounds like a normal pizza to put candy corn on,” and even if you’re right, $1.31 for a frozen pizza is still a steal. Tombstone promises:

  • A sweet-and-savory Halloween combination you probably never thought you’d try
  • Customize your slice with as much candy corn as you dare
  • The perfect debate fodder for Halloween parties or spooky season celebrations

There will be three limited drops at 2 p.m. ET on October 2, October 9, and October 23.
