Reddit user skeeterou has posted a really cool infographic that details the largest movie sets ever constructed. Some of them are mindblowingly massive, such as Tim Burton’s Batman, which transformed 18 sound stages at Pinewood Studios into a 4.1 million square foot replica of Gotham city! There’s also the water tank used to to film Abyss, which required 7 million gallons.
It’s pretty incredible to imagine how much work went into constructing such massive creations, some of them so big that it probably felt like anyone who stepped foot on set travelled back in time and was actually there. Films that actually created those sets
