One of the best motifs in New Line Cinema’s It (and presumably in this fall’s It: Chapter Two) is the appearance of Pennywise (played by Bill Skarsgård) in old books, photos, and newspaper clippings.
Someone got the idea to insert the demonic clown into the opening to “Cheers”, which for those unaware, is set to a series of old photographs of people hanging out at the now-famous Boston-set bar. The creator used photos from the new incarnation of Stephen King‘s book as well as that of Tim Curry‘s Pennywise from the 1990 televisions miniseries.
This is the best thing you’ll watch all weekend, maybe all month…
