RoboCop 2 4K UHD from Scream Factory

RoboCop 2 will protect the innocent on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on June 18 via Scream Factory. The 1990 sequel has been newly scanned in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision.

Irvin Kershner (Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back) directs from a script by comic book legend Frank Miller (The Dark Knight Returns, Sin City) and Walon Green (Eraser). Peter Weller returns to star with Nancy Allen, Dan O’Herlihy, Tom Noonan, Belinda Bauer, and Gabriel Damon.

Special features include: commentaries by CG supervisor Paul M. Sammon and the RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop documentarians; Corporate Wars: The Making of RoboCop 2; Machine Parts: The FX of RoboCop 2; OCP Declassified; and more.


Species II 4K UHD from Scream Factory

Species II mates with 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on June 11 via Scream Factory. The 1998 sci-fi horror sequel has been newly restored in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision.

Peter Medak (The Changeling) directs from a script by Chris Brancato (Narcos, Hannibal). Natasha Henstridge, Michael Madsen and Marg Helgenberger reprise their roles from the first film, joined by Mykelti Williamson, George Dzundza, James Cromwell, and Justin Lazard.

Special features include: commentary by Medak; interviews with Henstridge, Brancato, special make-up effects creator Steve Johnson, and more; Species II: Eve of Destruction; uncut footage; special effects outtakes; and more.


Godzilla x Kong Vinyl Soundtrack from Waxwork Records

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire‘s soundtrack is available on vinyl via Waxwork Records. The score is composed by Tom “Junkie XL” Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Godzilla vs. Kong) and Antonio Di Iorio.

Priced at $40, the 2xLP album is pressed on 180-gram colored vinyl. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket with matte satin coating designed by Matt Needle and a 12×12 art print. It’s expected to ship in June.


Jennifer’s Body Poster by Steven Luros Holliday

Celebrate 15 years of Jennifer’s Body with a poster by Steven Luros Holliday. Following its debut at the recent HorrorHound Weekend convention, the remaining inventory is now available online.

The 18×24 screen print on rainbow foil costs $50. Limited to 90, each one is signed and numbered on the back.


Death Machine Blu-ray from Kino Lorber

Death Machine will feed on Blu-ray on May 21 via Kino Lorber. The two-disc set includes three cuts of the 1994 cyberpunk horror film: the 100-minute U.S. version, the 122-minute international version, and a newly created 106-minute director’s cut.

Stephen Norrington (Blade, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) makes his feature directorial debut from his own script. Brad Dourif, Ely Pouget, William Hootkins, John Sharian, Martin McDougall, Andreas Wisniewski, and Richard Brake star.

Special features include: new commentaries by Norrington and Horror-Fix.com’s James G. Chandler and Ash Hamilton; a new audio conversation with Norrington and creature creator Alec Gillis; interviews with composer Crispin Merrell, editor Paul Endacott, costume designer Stephanie Collier, and producers Ray Burdis and Stuart St Paul; and more.

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is hitting the fast forward button on the Halloween season, taking to social media this afternoon to tease this year’s event.

The horror begins earlier than ever before as Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights returns on select nights* from August 30 through November 3 – unleashing a new slate of frights and nightmare-inducing terror at every corner of Universal Studios Florida.

Guests can secure their spot for the screams now and purchase select tickets and offers to plan the ultimate fall getaway where they can experience the adrenaline-pumping thrills of Universal’s theme parks by day and the terrifying chills of Halloween Horror Nights at night.

Every fall, guests from all around the globe brave their worst nightmares coming to life at Halloween Horror Nights – consistently named the world’s premier Halloween event. This year, a chilling new collection of horrifying experiences await guests, including 10 all-new movie-quality haunted houses inspired by cinematic greats and eerie original stories created by the twisted minds of Universal’s Entertainment team, and five scare zones filled with hundreds of menacing creatures who will reign the streets of Universal Studios Florida.

And in between the screams, guests can enjoy an energetic live show, fuel up for the next round of scares with sinfully delicious food and beverage inspired by the event’s haunts, shop the latest merchandise at the highly-themed Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store, and enjoy some of Universal Studios Florida’s most exciting attractions.

Single-night event tickets and Express Passes for Halloween Horror Nights are available for purchase now.
