Matthew Lillard Pays Homage to ‘Scream’ in Cologuard Ad

Published

on

Matthew Lillard is kind of an expert on scary, and he pays homage to his horror roots in a new Cologuard ad to remind you that there’s no need to scream when you can screen.

Colon cancer is one of the deadliest cancers — but it’s also one of the most preventable. With convenient screening options like the Cologuard test, detecting it early doesn’t have to be scary.

Lillard has several highly-anticipated horror projects on the horizon. First, he’ll reprise his role as William Afton in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 on December 5.

Then he’ll make his long-awaited return as Stu Macher in Scream 7, slashing into theaters on February 27, 2026.

The actor stars in the new Ice Nine Kills music video, releasing on October 9, in conjunction with a collaborative bourbon from Lillard’s Macabre Spirits.

Lillard also appears as Principal Grayle in Mike Flanagan’s upcoming series adaption of Stephen King’s “Carrie” for Prime Video.
