Wordless Music is producing live score screenings of several A24 films, including Under the Skin, Pearl, and Hereditary.
The one-night-only events will take place at the United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles throughout 2026.
Under the Skin – February 20, 2026
Mica Levi‘s score will be performed live to picture by 30 members of the Wordless Music Orchestra under conductor Derrick Skye.
In the 2013 sci-fi horror film, a voluptuous woman of unknown origin combs the highways in search of isolated or forsaken men, luring a succession of lost souls into an otherworldly lair. They are seduced, stripped of their humanity, and never heard from again.
Jonathan Glazer (The Zone of Interest) directs. Scarlett Johansson stars.
Pearl – June 12, 2026
Tyler Bates and Timothy Williams‘ score will be performed live to picture by 40 members of the Wordless Music Orchestra, with Williams serving as conductor.
In the 2022 second installment in the X trilogy, trapped on her family’s isolated farm, Pearl must tend to her ailing father under the bitter and overbearing watch of her devout mother. Lusting for a glamorous life like she’s seen in the movies, Pearl finds her ambitions, temptations, and repressions all colliding.
Ti West (The House of the Devil) directs. Mia Goth stars with David Corenswet, Tandi Wright, Matthew Sunderland, and Emma Jenkins-Purro.
Hereditary – October 23, 2026
Colin Stetson‘s score will be performed live to picture by 40 members of the Wordless Music Orchestra with Stetson on saxophone under conductor Robert Ames.
In the 2018 modern horror classic, when the matriarch of the Graham family passes away, her daughter’s family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited.
Ari Aster (Midsommar) makes his feature directorial debut. Toni Collette, Alex Wolff, Milly Shapiro, Ann Dowd, and Gabriel Byrne star.
