Funko has given many of our favorite horror movie characters the cute and cuddly treatment with various different toy lines, including POP!, Dorbz and Mopeez. Fan Mikey Sarago takes a similar approach with his custom-made plushies, which are a bit more outside the box than Funko’s offerings.
“When not obsessing over horror movies, Halloween and everything in between, I can be found lovingly caressing my VCR or making plushies,” Mikey says.
Sold in the Etsy shop Buttercruds, Mikey’s handmade plushies stand approximately 15″ tall and are made of felt and fleece, with embroidered faces and yarn hair when applicable. The iconic characters he’s made so far include Halloween stars Michael Myers, Dr. Loomis and Jamie Lloyd, as well as Fright Night characters Amy and Evil Ed.
Most outside the box of all, he even turned The Final Chapter‘s hitchhiker into a doll!
