Kotobukiya’s Sexy ‘Evil Dead 2’ Statue Gender Swaps Bruce Campbell

And yet, still not as sexy as the real Bruce Campbell.

The last few years, Japanese company Kotobukiya has brought a handful of iconic horror characters into their line of “Bishoujo” (which translates to “beautiful girl”) statues. Yes, they’ve been turning male horror icons into sexy females, kicking off the line with Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and even Chucky. Evil Dead II‘s Ash is next!

Originally teased at Comic Con last year and then sneak previewed at Toy Fair earlier this year, Kotobukiya just put the statue up for pre-order, with an October 2018 date.

“Ash’s appearance is expertly translated into the Bishoujo style by series illustrator Shunya Yamashita.

Reflecting the violent nature of the film, Ash’s clothes are tattered, exposing her robust form. Ash stands on an exquisitely detailed base modeled after the floor of the cabin from the film, with a decomposing hand peeking out from the cellar door. The Necronomicon Ex‐Mortis is detached, allowing you to display it wherever you like.”

The PVC statue stands 10.62 inches tall. Pre-order through Big Bad Toy Store!

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
