This Artist Turns Barbie and Ken Dolls into Your Favorite Horror Movie Characters

Oh my god he even made a Tom Atkins Halloween III doll and we’re in love.

Has Mattel ever actually made a horror movie-inspired Barbie doll? Believe it or not, yes, they actually have. Back in 2008, Mattel celebrated the 45th anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds with a doll depicting Tippi Hedren’s character from the classic film. Sadly, it remains the horror genre’s only brush with the Barbie line… likely forevermore.

But that’s okay, because one fan is making horror Barbies of his own!

His name is Will Turner (Facebook: Custom Horror Dolls by Will Turner), and he’s spent the last couple years turning Barbie and Ken dolls into characters from his favorite horror movies. Primarily customizing the hairstyles and wardrobes of existing dolls, Will manages to impressively imagine a world where Mattel goes horror movie crazy.

Check out some of our favorite dolls Will has created below, including Trash from Return of the Living Dead, Amy from Fright Night and Tina from Friday the 13th: The New Blood!

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
