NECA Teases Second Wave of “Toony Terrors” Toys, Including Pinhead and Michael Myers!
At Toy Fair earlier this year, NECA debuted the first look at their new Toony Terrors toy line, 6″ reinterpretations of our favorite horror icons as Scooby Doo-style cartoon characters. That first wave included Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and both the 1990 and 2017 versions of Pennywise, and a second wave will soon bring Michael Myers and Pinhead into the mix!
The first wave hasn’t actually been released yet, but they’re coming this summer.

The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.
The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.
The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.
A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.

Hitting theaters June 5, 2026, Scary Movie has been Rated ‘R’ for “crude sexual content, graphic nudity, strong violence, and drug content and language throughout.”

Scary Movie will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t. A whole lot has changed in the horror genre since the Wayans Brothers were in charge of the franchise; their involvement ended with Scary Movie 2 back in 2001!
Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs Scary Movie 6 from a script written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).
