It’s a pretty cool time to be a fan of all things Scooby-Doo, as the original animated series was just released onto Blu-ray in celebration of its 50th anniversary and a brand new animated movie – titled, simply, Scoob! – is headed our way this coming May.
Additionally, Playmobil just launched their Scooby-Doo line of playsets and figures!
The Mystery Inc. gang gets the Playmobil treatment in new playsets and figures that are now available exclusively at Walmart.
Included in this first wave of Scooby-Doo products from Playmobil is a Mystery Machine Playset, Scooby & Shaggy With Ghost Playset, and 12 different blind bag ghost figures.
The Mystery Machine Playset, of course, includes a replica of the iconic Mystery Machine vehicle that you get to build yourself, and it comes complete with a host of accessories as well as Playmobil figures of Fred, Daphne and Velma. Opening the van’s rear doors reveals an illuminated monitor, where you can insert “ghost cards” that come with all figures.
The Scooby & Shaggy Playset includes figures of Scooby, Shaggy and a man with a removable ghost costume, along with accessories including Scooby Snacks and a flashlight.
And last but not least, Series 1 of Playmobil’s Scooby-Doo “Mystery Figures” includes twelve different ghost characters from the show, housed inside of blind bag packaging.
