Debuting a series of The Op’s new signature line of Coded Chronicles™ games, Scooby-Doo: Escape from the Haunted Mansion puts you right in the roles of Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, Velma, and Scooby to unfold a mystery in real-time!
Coded Chronicles™ games are like no other tabletop game you’ve ever played before. As the name suggests, they’re the first at-home escape room-style activity that integrates storylines from iconic franchises into the foundation of a unique code-revealing mechanic, which players use to cooperatively and gradually unlock new parts of the game. It’s the same nail-biting excitement of a real escape room, but without the time limit!
Designed by Jay Cormier and Sen-Foong Lim (Junk Art, D&D: Rock, Paper, Wizard and MIND MGMT: The Psychic Espionage Game), this code-revealing mechanic lets players apply the same means of deduction and critical thinking that Mystery Inc. does best! Learn how Jay and Sen managed to keep players engaged every step of the way, as we get closer to opening the box.
More than 50 individual clues are hidden in this game’s interactive game board and pieces to help you discover what happened in Lady Fairmont’s Haunted Mansion! Players will share five narrative booklets, to be read as everyone works together to fill in the story’s missing details. Different parts are kept in secret envelopes to be opened as the crew unlocks the answers, keeping everyone on the edge of their seat. Scooby Doo: Escape from the Haunted Mansion is made for one or more players, ages 12 and up.
Escape from the Haunted Mansion will release Spring 2020.
