‘John Wick’ Receiving Pinball Game From Stern Pinball [Video]

John Wick has infiltrated the world of video games and television, and now it’s time to conquer the pinball world. Lionsgate has teamed with Stern Pinball (the same folks behind the JAWS pinball machine) to release a new series of pinball machines inspired by the series of films.

Available now at retailers in Pro ($6,999 USD), Premium ($9,699 USD), and Limited Edition models ($12,999 USD, limited to 1,000 games globally), players will step into the role of the world’s greatest assassin as he fights to escape his past. As the titular character, players can engage in high-speed car chases and fast-action drifting across the playfield, which incorporates models and artwork inspired by iconic locations from the franchise, including the New York Continental Hotel and the Red Circle Club.

Players can also open John Wick’s weapons crate to reveal a hidden shot target path to retrieve an array of weapons. You must use the sculpted Blood Oath Marker carefully – or risk the consequences. You’ll also need to survive other assassins, complete jobs for the legendary Factions of the High Table, and eventually take on John Wick’s “Special Assignment.”

To raise the stakes, John Wick pinball will use Stern’s all-new dynamic AI combat system to control the enemy lights on the playfield. As such, enemy icons are responsive to player behavior and will illuminate dynamically around the playfield to challenge the player. The enemies move tactically with this dynamic software to counter player objectives, creating a unique challenge in each game session.

Accompanying the high-quality film and audio assets woven into the gameplay, John Wick pinball games will include custom narration by Winston (played by Ian McShane) and an original score composed by Charlie Benante of Anthrax and Pantera. As an added touch, pieces of John Wick’s iconic suits used in connection with the production of the films will be included as a “franchise artifact” in the Limited Edition models. Completing the design of the machines will be original neo-noir style paintings illustrated by acclaimed artist, Randy Martinez.

On the film front, the first spin-off film in the John Wick Cinematic Universe, the Len Wiseman-directed Ballerina, will release in theatres June 6, 2025.

The filmmakers behind Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey are expanding their public domain horror universe with a handful of upcoming “Poohniverse” movies, including Bambi: The ReckoningPinocchio: Unstrung, and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare.

Variety has scored the first image from Neverland Nightmare, seen above.

The website details, “Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare follows Wendy Darling as she strikes out in an attempt to rescue her brother Michael from ‘the clutches of the evil Peter Pan.’ Along the way she meets Tinkerbell, who in this twisted version of the story will be seen taking heroine, convinced that it’s pixie dust.”

Scott Jeffrey will direct Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, expected Halloween 2024.

Jeffrey tells us, “I am taking inspiration from French cinema while in prep for this movie. The film will be incredibly tense. I would say it’s a mesh between Switchblade Romance and The Black Phone with our own spin on it. It is a nasty, violent and incredibly dark movie.”

Megan Placito has joined the cast as Wendy Darling, Kit Green is Tinkerbell, Peter DeSouza-Feighoney (The Pope’s Exorcist) is Michael Darling and Charity Kase (RuPaul Drag Race) is James. Martin Portlock will be playing the twisted version of Peter Pan.

Created by J.M. Barrie way back in 1902, the character of Peter Pan – like Winnie the Pooh – is in the public domain, even if the iconic Disney iteration of the character is very much not.
