NECA’s ‘Jason Takes Manhattan’ Action Figure Goes Up for Pre-Order for Friday the 13th!

Published

NECA had announced at Toy Fair back in February that they’re releasing three brand new Jason Voorhees action figures, based on Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason Goes to Hell, as well as the Tom Savini-designed hellish Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th: The Game.

For Friday the 13th today, NECA has put their Jason Takes Manhattan figure up for pre-order, and they’ve also released a full official image gallery while you wait to get it in your hands.

NECA previews, “From the hit Friday the 13th: The Game comes a new Jason Voorhees figure from NECA! This fully articulated 7-inch scale action figure captures the relentless slasher in all his menacing glory. From his weathered mask to his battle-damaged clothing, every sculpted detail reflects the decayed, waterlogged look that made Part 8 Jason a fan favorite.”

“This action figure includes interchangeable hands, mask, and axe accessory and comes in collector-friendly window box packaging. A must-have addition to your Jason collection!”

NECA’s Jason Takes Manhattan action figure is now available for pre-order on theNECAStore.com, and it’s coming to your favorite NECA retailer later tonight.

The estimated time frame for shipping out pre-orders is Quarter 4, 2026.

Launched in 2017, Friday the 13th: The Game was an asymmetrical survival horror game developed by IllFonic and published by Gun Media. Updates were eventually halted due to licensing issues, with all online services discontinued at the end of 2024.

Stay tuned for pre-order information on NECA’s Savini Jason and Jason Goes to Hell figures.

‘Scary Movie’ Official Popcorn Bucket Is Shaped Like a Retro ’90s Telephone

Published

The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.

The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.

The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.

A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.

Call Shorty now at: (855) WAZ-ZZUP

Hitting theaters June 5, 2026Scary Movie has been Rated ‘R’ for “crude sexual content, graphic nudity, strong violence, and drug content and language throughout.”

Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite for the new Scary Movie, with the cast also including Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Jon Abrahams, Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, and Felissa Rose.

Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe…

Scary Movie will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t. A whole lot has changed in the horror genre since the Wayans Brothers were in charge of the franchise; their involvement ended with Scary Movie 2 back in 2001!

Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs Scary Movie 6 from a script written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory WayansCraig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).
