Mattel Promising Restocks of Sold Out ‘Killer Klowns from Outer Space’ Monster High Dolls

Published

on

Well. Mattel’s Killer Klowns from Outer Space Monster High doll went up for grabs earlier today at 12pm ET and sold out quite literally IMMEDIATELY, with the doll being listed on Mattel’s website as completely “Sold Out” less than one minute after being offered up.

But if you missed out on this first wave, your luck hasn’t completely run out quite yet…

Mattel is promising on the official Monster High Instagram account that there will be restocks of the Killer Klowns doll. “Stay tuned for more info on restocks!” the account commented on their own post earlier today. They replied directly to a fan, “restocks are coming!”

Part of the Skullector line of Monster High collectible dolls, the official Killer Klowns from Outer Space doll is based on the loveable and colorful Klowns character known as Shorty.

The doll was selling for $71 as a pre-order, and only “Fang Club” members were given the opportunity to buy the doll from MattelCreations.com, while supplies last. Once again, those supplies didn’t last very long, but it seems more of the dolls will be in stock for everyone soon.

Mattel had been saying earlier this week that the dolls would also be sold directly on Amazon, but while there was indeed a listing for the product on Amazon at 12pm ET earlier today, it never seemed to actually be in stock over there. Perhaps they underestimated the demand.

Mattel previews, “This is no ordinary clown. She’s a Killer Klown … from outer space! We’re skelebrating the 1988 kult klassic film with an homage to one of its most creeptacular characters. Famous for knocking your block off (literally), Shorty doll is an evil entity dressed in cheerful bright colors and face paint fit for a circus. Our version puts a playful spin on the big top baddie, with balloon animal shoes and a cotton candy cocoon cup.” The features include…

  • 10.5 inches tall with 11 points of articulation
  • Our Shorty doll wears a creeptacular yellow klown jumpsuit with balloon sleeves, inspired by the original movie look
  • Popcorn ray gun and cherry earrings are krazy fun nods to the killer klown antics
  • Shorty wears kampy balloon animal shoes, and her bright green hair is styled in three pigtails, with a gravity-defying middle tuft
  • She comes with head-blasting boxing gloves and a cotton candy cocoon cup with a “Shorty” stylized curly straw
  • Super skullectible packaging features scare-ific art inspired by the movie
  • Includes Certificate of Authenticity

Keep tabs on the official Monster High Instagram account for restock information!

‘Scary Movie’ Official Popcorn Bucket Is Shaped Like a Retro ’90s Telephone

Published

on

The official social media accounts for Scary Movie had recently teased a bong-shaped popcorn bucket, but unfortunately it seems that was just a gag. The actual official Scary Movie popcorn bucket has been revealed by Discussing Film this afternoon, and it’s a bit more practical.

The actual Scary Movie popcorn bucket you’ll be able to get in theaters is shaped like an old school phone, as seen in Wes Craven’s Scream as well as the original Scary Movie in 2000.

The Scary Movie Phone Popcorn Bucket glows in the dark, and it’s emblazoned with “WAZZUP!” on the side, a reference to a memorable moment from the 2000 movie.

A phone number has been set up as part of the movie’s marketing campaign this week, allowing you to call Marlon Wayans’ Shorty for a fun spoof of the retro Moviefone experience.

Call Shorty now at: (855) WAZ-ZZUP

Hitting theaters June 5, 2026Scary Movie has been Rated ‘R’ for “crude sexual content, graphic nudity, strong violence, and drug content and language throughout.”

Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite for the new Scary Movie, with the cast also including Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Jon Abrahams, Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, and Felissa Rose.

Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe…

Scary Movie will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t. A whole lot has changed in the horror genre since the Wayans Brothers were in charge of the franchise; their involvement ended with Scary Movie 2 back in 2001!

Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs Scary Movie 6 from a script written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory WayansCraig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).
