I really can’t believe just how big Netflix’s original supernatural mystery series “Stranger Things” has become and I absolutely love it. From becoming the foundation for some of the hottest costumes this Halloween (how many Eleven’s did you see?) to spurring a rekindled interest in all things 80’s, the series is a nostalgia trip that won people over with its genuine enthusiasm, great writing, captivating story, and awesome music.
Netflix is no idiot either. They can see how big the show has become for them, so they’re gonna milk it all it’s worth. And yes, that includes themed recipes.
Today, the streaming service released a video where they got real life news anchor Brenda Wood to do a “Minute by Minute” segment for the fictitious town of Hawkins, Illinois, where the series takes place. The video highlights the disappearance of fan favorite character Barb as well as talks about Eleven’s waffle shoplifting incident.
It’s a cute throwback to 80’s news presentations and I can’t help but love how invested Netflix is in this show. Now, bring on season two!
