Latest “AHS: Cult” Clue Again Teases the Return of Twisty
Clowns have been an integral part of the marketing campaign for “American Horror Story: Cult,” but could we see the return of the show’s be-all, end-all killer clown? John Carroll Lynch played Twisty the clown in “AHS: Freak Show,” and yet another official tease suggests that he will indeed have a presence in the new season.
Over on the “AHS: Cult” website, the latest piece of unlocked content is a script page showcasing a conversation between two people about Twisty’s reign of terror. The dialogue notes that the events of “Freak Show” took place fifty or sixty years prior to “Cult,” and that Twisty has become a legend the likes of Bloody Mary and Candyman.
“He’ll appear if you say his name three times in a row…”
Previously, Ryan Murphy had shared an image of a prop from “Cult”: a faux comic book titled Twisty: The Clown Chronicles, hinting at the iconic character’s return. But will he actually appear in the flesh as part of the main storyline, or are these simply Easter eggs and fun references? We’ll soon find out.

The 11-episode Season 7 will arrive September 5.
Evan Peters will be playing a character named Kai, while Sarah Paulson will also return as new character Ally. The two characters will have “a love story for the ages.”
The cast also includes Billy Eichner as Harrison Wilton; Alison Pill as Ivy Mayfair-Richards; Billie Lourd as Winter Anderson; Cheyenne Jackson as Dr. Rudy Vincent; and Colton Haynes as Detective Samuels. Frances Conroy, Lena Dunham, Emma Roberts, Adina Porter, Mare Winningham and Leslie Grossman also star.
Epic’s Fortnite is heading for another crossover, this time with Universal Orlando and Halloween Horror Nights. The title’s annual Fortnitemares Halloween event will be coming to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort in a new scare zone, kicking off on August 28.
For those not in the know, Scare zones are themed, open-air areas where guests and actors roam around freely.
This is the first time Fortnite will be featured during the after-hours event, which will run from August 28 until November 1. Tickets and packages are on sale now at the official site.
Per the press release, guests will enter Freaky Fields, a Halloween-inspired living battleground that’s been “overcome with a threatening force.” From there, fans will meet up with the Battle Bus, featuring familiar Fortnitemares characters, including “a few new additions exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights.”
And of course, there will be Fortnitemares merchandise available for fans, including a graphic t-shirt, decal set, and an acrylic collectible piece.
Fortnitemares won’t be the only featured property at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. Killer Klowns from Outer Space will also be getting its own scare zone. Sinners, Stranger Things, Hellraiser, and Evil Dead Burn will also be part of the event, though they will be relegated to their own specific houses.
And while it’s early yet, gamers can probably expect Fortnitemares to return to Fortnite this October.
