Not only is makeup effects legend Kevin Yagher credited as both designer and executor of the Chucky doll for the original Child’s Play, but he’s also the man who designed the iconic Crypt Keeper for HBO’s “Tales from the Crypt.” Yagher is also known for redesigning Freddy for A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and he even directed Hellraiser: Bloodline, easily the most underrated installment in the franchise.
Needless to say, Yagher is nothing short of a legendary figure in the horror industry, and he’s recently been opening up his archives and sharing photos and memories from his incredible career on both Facebook and Instagram. Yagher even opened up his own online shop, where he sells many of those one-of-a-kind artifacts!
Recently, Yagher added a handful of “Tales from the Crypt” props to the shop, including the mechanical Crypt Keeper baby understructure from the episode “Lower Berth,” which he also directed. Other “Tales” goodies include the two-faced head from the same episode, as well as Jon Lovitz’s face from “Top Billing.”
