Back in 2013, Syfy’s Sharknado became an unlikely hit, winning over audiences with its particular brand of over-the-top nonsense and pulling in huge numbers for the network. A sequel was ordered… and then another… and then three more. This Summer will see the premiere of Sharknado 6, which we’re being told will be the end for the series.
The Anthony C. Ferrante-directed Sharknado 6 had originally been set to premiere this coming July, but today we’ve learned that it’ll be arriving on August 19.
Sharknado 6 caps off the fifth annual “Sharknado Week,” which runs August 12 – 19. This year’s lineup includes Deep Blue Sea 2, 6-Headed Shark Attack and Nightmare Shark.
