[Rumor] Two ‘Alien’ Franchise TV Shows in the Works, One from Ridley Scott and Hulu?

Published

on

We’ve been hearing rumblings about a potential TV series set within the world of Alien for a while now, and HN Entertainment brings a big ole scoop to the table on all that tonight.

According to the site (and their sources), “There isn’t just one live-action Alien series in the works, but two of them.”

The site goes on to say that one of those series’ has Ridley Scott attached to executive produce for Hulu, which is needless to say pretty huge if indeed true.

They note, “Details are scarce at the moment but there might be multiple seasons that could tackle different corners/eras of the franchise, not unlike Noah Hawley’s series Fargo.”

Fox is no doubt eager to expand upon the Alien franchise (and Disney apparently has no issue with continuing Fox’s rated “R” material once they officially acquire the company’s assets), and a television series (or two, as the site suggests) sounds like a pretty natural evolution for a franchise that’s still huge but not exactly a guaranteed box office powerhouse.

Meanwhile, James Cameron *may* be trying to get something going on the film front…

“Chucky” – Official Trailer for This Week’s New Episode Brings Brad Dourif into the White House!

Brad Dourif

Just two episodes remain in Season 3 of “Chucky,” with the second-to-last episode airing this Wednesday night on USA & SYFY. It’s titled “There Will Be Blood,” and oh yes there will be.

Last week’s episode was absolutely INSANE, with Chucky taking control of the situation room in the White House and attempting to start World War 3. His plan was thwarted, but not before nuking the North Pole. In the wake of launching that missile, Chucky met the true death, his doll body disintegrating into ash like he got Thanos snapped out of existence.

The episode ended with an appearance from Brad Dourif as Charles Lee Ray in his human form, with his spirit now free from the doll and roaming around the haunted White House.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for this week’s episode: “Parapsychologists investigate the disturbances in the White House, while Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) plans her escape.”

“There Will Be Blood” airs Wednesday, April 24 on USA and SYFY. Reversing a new plan they tested out last week, we’re told the episode will be available on Peacock this Thursday.
