Clips from the “Tremors” Pilot Will Screen at the ATX Television Festival and Kevin Bacon Will Be There!

Last year, Syfy pulled the plug on a Kevin Bacon-starring “Tremors” TV series, cancelling the planned series after the pilot episode had been filmed. As we learned earlier this year, the failed “Tremors” project from writer/executive producer Andrew Miller will have a presence at this year’s ATX Television Festival with a panel that will include “a selection of clips, a live script reading, and conversations with executive producers and cast, including Andrew Miller, Jessica Rhoades, Toks Olagundoye, P.J. Byrne, Emily Tremaine and Haley Tju.”

Well we’ve learned this week that Kevin Bacon will also now be in attendance!

Vincenzo Natali (Splice) was the director of the pilot episode, and all we’ve seen to date was the trailer for that planned premiere episode of the scrapped Syfy series (below).

The series was set to pick up 25 years after the killer Graboid worms nearly destroyed the Nevada town of Perfection.

Bacon was to again play Valentine McKee, who beat the sandworms once and would attempt to do it again; but first he’d have to deal with age, alcohol and a delusional hero complex.

The ATX Television Festival runs June 6-9, 2019 in Austin, Texas.
