Etheria Film Night has just announced the Saturday, June 29, 2019, Los Angeles premiere of Gigi Saul Guerrero’s (La Quinceañera) feature length film debut from Blumhouse Television, Culture Shock. Launching as the July 4th installment of Hulu’s “Into the Dark” series, Culture Shock will be screened at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, CA as part of the 2019 Etheria festivities, followed by a Q&A with Guerrero and the film’s principal talent. There are limited public tickets available. Tickets can be purchased directly from Fandango.
Culture Shock, which features Barbara Crampton, follows a young Mexican woman in pursuit of the American Dream, who crosses illegally into the United States, only to find herself in an American nightmare.
It also stars Martha Higareda, Richard Cabral, Shawn Ashmore, and Creed Bratton, and was written by Gigi, James Benson, and Efren Hernandez.
The episode will World Premiere at Cinepocalypse in Chicago this coming June.
Etheria Film Night is the most respected showcase of genre films directed by women in the world. The annual festival is hosted by the American Cinematheque in Hollywood, California.
