Netflix Shares Several Beautiful New Pieces of Promo Art for “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance”

Netflix’s prequel series “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” arrives Friday, August 30, and we’re hoping to see some new footage out of Comic Con this week. In the meantime, Netflix has released several new promo images for the series, and they’re absolutely gorgeous.

Check out the stunning new art below.

The 10-episode fantasy adventure series takes place many years before the events of the film.

The voice cast is led by Taron Egerton (Kingsman), Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), and Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), as Rian, Brea and Deet, three Gelfling heroes.

Sigourney WeaverLena HeadeyBenedict WongAwkwafina, Hannah John-Kamen and Dave Goelz also lend their voices to the new series.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” tells a new epic story, set many years before the events of the 1982 movie, and realized using classic puppetry combined with cutting edge visual effects. The world of Thra is dying. The Crystal of Truth is at the heart of Thra, a source of untold power. But it is damaged, corrupted by the evil Skeksis, and a sickness spreads across the land. When three Gelfling uncover the horrific truth behind the power of the Skeksis, an adventure unfolds as the fires of rebellion are lit and an epic battle for the planet begins.

“Them: The Scare” Exclusive Clip – The Legendary Pam Grier Stars in Prime Video’s Horror Series

Prime Video’s horror anthology series “Them” returns this week with brand new season “Them: The Scare,” which will premiere worldwide on Prime Video beginning April 25, 2024.

The first season of “Them” (now retroactively dubbed “Covenant”) debuted back in 2021, and this second installment of the anthology series will consist of eight episodes.

“Them: The Scare” will once again be set in Los Angeles…

The story centers on LAPD Homicide Detective Dawn Reeve, who is assigned to a new case: the gruesome murder of a foster home mother that has left even the most hardened detectives shaken. Navigating a tumultuous time in Los Angeles, with a city on the razor’s edge of chaos, Dawn is determined to stop the killer.

But as she draws closer to the truth, something ominous and malevolent grips her and her family…

The series cast includes Deborah Ayorinde as “Detective Dawn Reeve,” Pam Grier as “Athena,” and Grammy-nominated musician and actor Luke James as “Edmund Gaines.”

Rounding out the cast for the second season of “Them” are Joshua J. WilliamsJeremy BobbWayne KnightCarlito Olivero, Charles Brice, and Iman Shumpert.

“Them: The Scare” is a co-production of Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Series creator Little Marvin serves as showrunner and executive producer with Miri Yoon and Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment and Steve Prinz.
