Streaming service Quibi has been announcing new projects left and right, and today they’ve announced the development of “Toys” from 101st Street Entertainment, James Patterson Entertainment and CBS Television Studios. The series will be an adaptation of Patterson’s best-selling novel, being written and executive produced by Melinda Hsu Taylor (“Lost”).
Here’s the logline for the dystopian thriller:
Set in the near future, when generations of DNA enhancements have resulted in a class conflict between genetic Elites and unaltered Basics, action-adventure TOYS follows the journey of a young woman who finds herself, and her heart, caught between the two worlds.
Executive producers include Peter Lenkov through 101st Street Entertainment; James Patterson, Leopoldo Gout and Bill Robinson through James Patterson Entertainment.
