Mike Flanagan re-teams with Netflix for the upcoming “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” but unlike “The Haunting of Hill House,” he won’t be directing every episode of the new season.
Director Ciarán Foy (Citadel, Sinister 2, Netflix’s new film Eli) has tipped us off this week to the fact that he’ll be directing “some episodes” of “The Haunting of Bly Manor”!
Foy told us in an exclusive chat, “On Eli I worked with Intrepid Pictures and producer Trevor Macy. Trevor and Mike Flanagan invited me to helm some episodes [of “Bly Manor”], so I’m presently in Vancouver in prep on that show and I can’t wait to get shooting!”

“The Haunting of Hill House” stars Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel, Victoria Pedretti and Henry Thomas will all be returning to play new characters in “Bly Manor.”
The cast also includes Catherine Parker (“The Haunting of Hill House”), T’Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli, Amelia Eve, Benjamin Ainsworth and Amelie Smith.
The new season is inspired by Henry James’ psychological gothic horror novella The Turn of the Screw.
