Julianne Moore and Clive Owen have been set to star in a small screen adaptation of Stephen King‘s Lisey’s Story for Apple, and Deadline reports this week that Joan Allen has also joined the cast. The three time Oscar nominee, who starred in Stephen King adaptation A Good Marriage back in 2014, will play Amanda, the eldest sister of Moore’s titular character.
The 8-hour limited series is written by King, who will also executive produce.
The series is described as a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey (Moore) two years following the death of her husband.
“The series explores a series of events that causes her to begin facing amazing realities about her husband that she had repressed and forgotten.”
J.J. Abrams is on board to produce through Bad Robot Productions.
