Julianne Moore and Clive Owen have been set to star in a small screen adaptation of Stephen King‘s Lisey’s Story for Apple TV+, with Moore playing the title character and Owen co-starring as her late husband. And Variety reports this week that Fast and Furious franchise actor Sung Kang will play Officer Dan Beckman, a police officer assigned to watch Lisey’s house.
Dane Dehaan (A Cure for Wellness) and Joan Allen (A Good Marriage) will also star.
The 8-hour limited series is written by King, who will also executive produce.
The series is described as a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey (Moore) two years following the death of her husband.
“The series explores a series of events that causes her to begin facing amazing realities about her husband that she had repressed and forgotten.”
J.J. Abrams is on board to produce through Bad Robot Productions.
