Many horror films over the years have had alleged “curses” attached to them, with the productions believed to be plagued by supernatural forces. We’re talking about films like The Exorcist, The Omen and Poltergeist, and those three will be profiled alongside The Twilight Zone: The Movie and The Crow in Shudder’s upcoming 5-part docuseries “Cursed Films.”
From showrunner Jay Cheel, “Cursed Films” is a documentary series which explores the myths and legends behind some of Hollywood’s notoriously cursed horror film productions.
“Cursed Films will reveal the events that haunted these productions through interviews with experts, witnesses and the cast, directors and producers who lived through the real-life events.”
“Were these films really cursed, as many believe, or just the victims of bad luck and bizarre circumstances?”
Entertainment Weekly brings us the official trailer today, along with the news that “Cursed Films” will premiere with the episode centered on The Exorcist on April 2nd, 2020.
Poltergeist and The Omen will then be profiled on April 9th, followed by the final episode covering both The Twilight Zone: The Movie and The Crow on April 16th.
