The Evil Dead director Sam Raimi gets back behind the camera with “50 States of Fright”, a new horror anthology series that premieres on Quibi this April.
Bloody Disgusting shares this first-ever trailer and images from the series that will explore stories based on urban legends from Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon and Washington, taking viewers deeper into the horrors that lurk just beneath the surface of our country.
The teaser trailer is packed full of scares and looks to be one helluva trip. Take a look below for first shots from two of the segments.
“The Golden Arm”
Raimi, who executive produces the entire series, directs and co-writes “The Golden Arm”, in which a man marries a woman with a golden arm. A quick look into the legend reveals that after the wife passes away, her husband digs up her grave and steals the arm. She returns from the grave to torment the thief.
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s” Rachel Brosnahan plays the wife with Travis Fimmel (“Vikings”, Warcraft: The Beginning) and John Marshall Jones (The Last Revolutionary, “Rectify”) also starring.

“Red Rum”
We also have a shot from the highly anticipated “Red Rum”, which implies some sort of The Shining tie-in/homage as it takes place in Colorado.
Even more exciting, the episode was directed by Daniel Goldhaber and writer Isa Mazzei, the duo behind the excellent indie horror CAM.
There’s a shot below of star Christina Ricci (The Addams Family, “Z: The Beginning of Everything”) holding someone’s head in her hand.
The episode also stars Jacob Batalon (Spiderman: Homecoming, Spiderman: Far From Home), Victoria Justice (“Victorious”, “Eye Candy”) and Colin Ford (“Day Break”, “Supernatural”).
