“Creepshow” Animated Special Coming to Shudder in October; Based on Stephen King and Joe Hill Tales!
Announced today, Shudder is expanding upon the world of “Creepshow” with a brand new animated special this Halloween season, launching exclusively on Shudder on October 26.
The special will feature adaptations of two stories written by Stephen King and Joe Hill, Shudder announced over on Twitter this afternoon, and directed by Greg Nicotero!
Kiefer Sutherland and Joey King will star.
Shudder details. “Though Greg Nicotero and his team are hard at work shooting season 2 (coming in 2021), they’ve crafted a fully animated Creepshow special for us just in time for Halloween, featuring two tales to die for: “Survivor Type,” based on the short story by Stephen King and adapted by Nicotero, stars Kiefer Sutherland (24, Designated Survivor) as a man determined to stay alive alone on a deserted island no matter what the cost. “Twittering from the Circus of the Dead,” based on the short story by Joe Hill and adapted by Melanie Dale, stars Joey King (The Kissing Booth, The Act) as a teen whose family road trip includes a visit to the gravest show on earth. The second season of Shudder’s “Creepshow,” meanwhile, recently kicked off production. And a brand new book, “Creepshow: The Taker,” was just released this month by Scholastic.
“Creepshow,” based on the 1982 film, has proven to be a huge success for Shudder, and it looks like the franchise’s expansion is showing no signs of slowing down.
The Jacob Batalon-starring vampire-comedy series “Reginald the Vampire” returns to SYFY for Season 2 on May 8, and the new season’s official trailer has arrived today.

In the upcoming second season, “Reginald Andres finally got his life together – when he was turned into a vampire. While he doesn’t fit into the stereotypical expectations of what a vampire looks like – he’s not chiseled or classically handsome – Reginald has found his place amongst an unlikely cohort that includes the cool vampire who sired him, the former vampire chieftain turned unexpected ally (or is she?), and his co-worker/former girlfriend.”

“Reginald the Vampire” is produced by Great Pacific Media Inc., Modern Story Company, December Films and Cineflix Studios and executive produced by Harley Peyton, Jeremiah Chechik, Todd Berger, Lindsay Macadam, Brett Burlock and Peter Emerson.
“Reginald the Vampire” is based on the book series by Johnny B. Truant. Harley Peyton (“Chucky”) is the executive producer/showrunner of the SYFY television series.
