Much like “The Haunting of Hill House,” Netflix and Mike Flanagan‘s follow-up “The Haunting of Bly Manor” is jam-packed with hidden ghosts, though they serve much more of a purpose this time around. They’re there in “Bly Manor” not only to creep you out but to build out the story and establish the history of the titular locale, as revealed throughout the season.
In “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” we eventually learn the origin stories of most of the ghosts who inhabit the Manor. Mike Flanagan explained in a recent chat with BD’s Meagan Navarro that we published just yesterday, “For Bly, it was important to find a way that the ghosts could actually be part of the narrative this time instead of so many random faces.”
Two of the more notable ghosts you can spot in “Bly Manor” are the “Plague Doctor Ghost” and the “Doll Face Ghost,” but they’re not the only spirits lurking around the place.
