Tickets Now On Sale to Watch the Final Episode of ‘Stranger Things’ in Theaters!
For the first (and last) time ever, “Stranger Things” is coming to the big screen. Netflix will be releasing the SERIES FINALE in theaters, and tickets for the special event are now on sale!
To celebrate the conclusion of the record-breaking series, Netflix had recently announced that it will bring the FINAL EPISODE of “Stranger Things 5” to select theaters nationwide.
The screenings will take place in over 500 theaters in the U.S. and Canada starting on December 31, 2025 at 5:00pm PT, and run through January 1, 2026.
Variety details, “Tickets will not be sold for the screenings, but rather exhibitors will sell concession vouchers that will guarantee fans a seat at a screening. Thus, the theater owners will keep the revenue from the screenings. Netflix’s owned-theaters are not selling tickets or concession vouchers, but fans can sign up via the RSVP list.”

The Duffer Brothers said, “We’re beyond excited that fans will have the chance to experience the final episode of Stranger Things in theaters — it’s something we’ve dreamed about for years, and we’re so grateful to Ted, Bela, and everyone at Netflix for making it happen. Getting to see it on the big screen, with incredible sound, picture, and a room full of fans, feels like the perfect — dare we say bitchin’ — way to celebrate the end of this adventure.”
According to the brothers, the final episode will run “around two hours.”
UPDATE: The confirmed final runtime is 2 hours, 5 minutes.
The first four episodes of the final season are now streaming. The next three will follow on December 25, with the series finale arriving on Netflix on New Year’s Eve, December 31.
Meagan Navarro wrote in her review of the first four episodes for Bloody Disgusting, “Volume I ultimately makes for an exhilarating return to Hawkins, almost single-handedly by Episode Four’s audacious bravura alone. Some of the series’ signatures, like its use of needle drops, feel muted so far, but that’s compensated for by a course correction on past seasons’ reluctance to put its key players in mortal peril. Vecna is more terrifying than ever as his power grows, giving multiple characters a brush with death in a way that injects palpable suspense. It all teases a bigger, wilder, and emotionally powerful conclusion in the season’s back half.”

‘Ghostbusters: Night Shift’ – Brand New Animated Series Comes to Netflix in 2027!
The Ghostbusters franchise returns to the world of animation with brand new Netflix series “Ghostbusters: Night Shift,” and the official logo has been revealed this weekend.
Expect “Ghostbusters: Night Shift” to clock in on Netflix in 2027!
Netflix previews, “Ghostbusters: Night Shift, a series from Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation based on the beloved Ghostbusters franchise, will debut exclusively on Netflix in 2027.
“The new series marks the next chapter in the franchise’s ghoul-catching legacy, bringing supernatural comedy and paranormal action back to animation.”
The upcoming animated series from Netflix will be executive produced by Ben Hibon, Elliott Kalan, Jason Reitman, Gil Kenan, Amie Karp, and Dan Aykroyd.
Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, director of the original Ghostbusters features, and Kenan co-wrote the franchise’s most recent installments, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Frozen Empire.
“This isn’t the first time the Ghostbusters universe has gone animated,” Netflix reminds in their press release today. “The 1980s and ’90s saw The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters take over the small screen. For now, you can rest assured: If there’s something strange in your neighborhood, a Ghostbuster will be on the job — even if it’s after hours.”
