Two more episodes remain in the first season of “IT: Welcome to Derry,” and to say things are heating up would be a massive understatement. This past Sunday night’s sixth episode was downright explosive, marked by the reveal that Ingrid Kersh is the daughter of the performer who played the original Pennywise the Clown at the Derry carnival in the early 1900s.
It would seem that Pennywise was a real clown that the interdimensional being known as IT decided to take the form of, and this has led Ingrid to believe that Pennywise is her dead father.
Ingrid Kersh has been haunting the show’s characters as her own creation, Periwinkle the Clown. It seems she has been helping IT this whole time, either knowingly or unknowingly…
On top of that whole storyline, the Black Spot is under siege and the kids are trapped inside, while The Shining character Dick Hallorann is battling mental demons of his own.
This Sunday night’s seventh episode also promises to reveal more of Pennywise’s origin story, and HBO Max has released new official images that take us back to Derry in the early 1900s.
Bill Skarsgård will be playing Pennywise like we’ve never quite seen him before this Sunday night on “Welcome to Derry,” and we expect all will be revealed in these final two episodes.
Preview the upcoming seventh episode of “Welcome to Derry” below and don’t miss it this Sunday night (December 7) on HBO Max beginning at 9pm ET. Seriously. Do. Not. Miss IT.
