Cult icon John Waters has joined the cast of “American Horror Story” for its 13th season.
“I can’t say what role, but I have a big new part in ‘American Horror Story,’” the Pope of Trash revealed during a recent live show, as reported by Baltimore Fishbowl.
“I’m typecast,” Waters later remarked. “I’m always either the devil or Chucky’s father… I’ve always been trying to steal Vincent Price’s career.”
Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, “American Horror Story” Season 13 is expected to begin filming soon for a Halloween 2026 premiere on FX.
Waters joins returning favorites Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman along with franchise newcomer Ariana Grande.
Waters recently wrapped filming on Baltigore: Maryland Horror Anthology, in which he serves as the host.
